International Competition “River Notes” – a feast of music and colour

One of the most prestigious music competitions in Bulgaria has been held in Tutrakan since 2000, organised by the local Centre for Extracurricular Activities. Each year it grows and evolves, becoming an impressive celebration of young talent in vocal and instrumental arts.

For three days Tutrakan turns into a stage filled with music, children’s emotions, and artistic brilliance across three different venues. The festival takes place annually in the second half of August. The opening ceremony is held at the amphitheatre in the beautiful Danube Park, with the river as a backdrop. In the following days, the competitive programme continues in the elegant Ceremonial Hall and the large stage of the local community centre. On the final evening, the best performers present a gala concert once again on the open-air stage.

Every year the organisers introduce exciting challenges and a distinguished international jury. Participants from various Eastern European countries embark on a musical adventure, leaving with lifelong friends and unforgettable memories.
